About the aghr

The aim of the AGHR is to track and record the bloodlines of Gypsy Horses and Gypsy Horse Crosses in Australasia. We also act as an information point for individuals and societies wishing to trace those bloodlines. The registry is open to all Gypsy Horse and Gypsy Horse Derivative owners and horses.

For generations the gypsies have handed down the knowledge of their horses' bloodlines from generation to generation. The AGHR aims to continue this tradition in a broader sense, tracing and recording as much of the history of these fabulous horses as possible and presenting it in a database for anyone to access.

Much of the information presented here comes directly from the breeders themselves and so should be considered part of the oral gypsy horse lineage tradition.

Every Gypsy Horse entered will be assigned a AGHR lifetime number for ID purposes. The database holds horse details only. No private information will be available.

This is an information service only and not a membership driven club or society. The information is presented as it is told to us and we make no claims about its accuracy.
